Once the domain of the gentry and their palaces, this noble stone has finally come to the masses, and we have embraced it mightily. Marble can work magically in the right hands, at times taking nature to poetic heights.

Architecturally, there is nothing quite like it, as it immediately conveys a sense of greatness. Marble, to a large degree, is simply a hard variety of limestone, that, when polished, looks like, works like and therefore is what we call marble.

There are, to be sure, many varieties of true geological marble, in particular, the whites, along with many wonderful types of onyx, a marble derivative. Still, marble and limestone crossover in many respects, one perfect example being Crema Marfil, which you’ll find here in both Limestone and Marble collections. Use it polished, it reads marble, when honed, just another creamy limestone.
